What Is Pressure Sensitive Labeling?

Pressure Sensitive Labeling is the process of applying a label to a bottle or container by utilizing pressure. At Kaufman Container, we can apply PS labels to glass, plastic and aluminum packaging, tubes and closures.

Can I supply my own Pressure Sensitive Labels?

Yes, we can either source your label for you or you can supply your existing label and have us only handle the application. However, since PS labels can be made with a variety of face stock materials, adhesives and release liner options, we need to confirm that your existing label will work for your bottle selection.

How Much Does Pressure Sensitive Labeling Cost?

Since each project and customer is unique, we cannot provide a standard price list. Each project is reviewed internally prior to quoting. However, we do require a $500 minimum order.

What are Kaufman Container's Pressure Sensitive Labeling Capabilities?

• Full Wrap Labeling: We utilize horizontal labeling equipment for our PS labeling projects. This helps support the bottle at the base and neck for better stability, added air pressure and ease of setting the correct bottle taper.
• Front/Back Labeling: We have one line PS labeling line that can apply front/back labels to oblong or oval containers. These lines require two label rolls (front label and back label).
• Flat Top Labeling: We have one flat top labeling machine that is typically used for closures. This machine runs hand fed closures or slim tubs in which a base label can be applied.
• Booklet Labels: We have one machine capable of applying booklet labels. A booklet label is a type of PS label that includes a small booklet that can be folded.
