2020 NACD Silver Award Winner: Sun Bum

Although The National Association of Container Distributors convention was cancelled for 2020 due to COVID-19, Kaufman Container was still recognized for winning 3 prestigious awards. One of the award-winning packages includes these bottles designed for Sun Bum for their new Baby Bum product line. We are honored to announce that this package took home the Silver in the Personal Care category.

An extension to the Sun Bum brand, Baby Bum was created so parents could have trustworthy products to use on their newborns. They truly design and make products they care about that helps protect the animals and the environment. All of their ingredients are vegan, cruelty free, gluten free and are made in the USA.

One of their main products is their foaming shampoo & wash line, in which they have a natural fragrance or a fragrance-free option. When it came to deciding on what type of packaging to use, they really wanted the product to appeal to mothers and children. We decided to build a custom 12 oz HDPE bottle that included co-ex soft touch material and 25% PCR. This feels soothing in the hands of the consumer while the PCR accomplishes the eco-friendly goals. The natural fragrance line is a custom Grey color, while the fragrance-free line is a custom Cream color. Both of these bottles were screen printed 3 colors in-house by the distributor. For both lines, we chose a 43 mm custom colored yellow foaming pump with wood grain water transfer applied.

Baby Bum utilized the same 12 oz custom Grey bottle for their bubble bath line. For the closure, we went with a 43 mm custom colored flip top cap with the wood grain water transfer applied. The final package we provided was for their hand sanitizer product. We decided on a 2 oz custom HDPE Custom Grey bullet bottle and a 20-410 custom color Yellow fine mist sprayer.
